TINY BITS OF TRUTH

A little different than usual I felt this article was really worth mentioning first and I highly recommend everyone of you read it when you have a few minutes.  It was written by graduating Yale senior, Marina Keegan, for a special edition of the News distributed at the class of 2012's commencement exercises last week.  Unfortunately, Marina Keegan, age 22, was killed in a car accident this past weekend and will never get to experience life after college.  As you can tell from her article, The Opposite of Loneliness, she certainly was wise beyond her years.  In the past week, her final article has gone viral resonating with people all over the world.  Amazing and so tragic.

I am sure many of you have seen the following video, but in case you missed it, this is a great video of the Harvard Baseball team's rendition of "Call Me Maybe":

COLOR CRASH COURSE: ORANGE+NAVY

Although it's not officially the start of summer, to many people, including myself, the Memorial Day weekend represents the "unofficial start of summer".  Growing up, for over 15 years, that meant only a matter of days until Camp Longhorn.  I could go on forever about how amazing Camp Longhorn is, but will spare ya'll the details, and just say, it is amazing, and you should check it out if you have children.

Navy and orange are the official colors of Camp Longhorn, and I love this color combo for summertime.  It's not something I ever think to pair together, but always notice when others do and love their outfits.  You can do navy and orange too, whether it is with just a touch of these colors or you style your entire outfit in this color combo, try it out this summer!

TUESDAY MUSINGS

Hope ya'll had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend. Always hard to get back into the swing of things after a long weekend, and that is no different for me today.  Tuesday definitely is feeling more like a Monday this afternoon, but the good news is that it is a short week.  I have a post for later this evening, but in the meantime a few random things I've found recently and had to share with ya'll.

Speaking of Instagram, if you are anything like me, you've become a bit addicted to taking photos and posting them on Instagram, right?  Have you wondered how in the world you were ever going to get copies of all the wonderful Instagram photos you now have stored on the app?  Well, now you can via Prinstagr.am.  This site will print your Instagram photos on everything from mini prints (my personal favorite, and shown below) to mini books.

This video over on the Huffington Post basically sums up my very favorite dance moves from just about every single one of my favorite movies, minus Troop Beverly Hills ... which in case you have no clue what Troop Beverly Hills is, you can check out a tiny bit of this amazing classic below:

Hope your Tuesday is off to a good start and check back here later today for a new post!

CURRENTLY LOVING

I am loving this Tibi silk dress and had to share with ya'll since not only is this one of those dresses you could wear about a million times, but if you are feeling the itch to buy this gorgeous gown, head on over to Shopbop to take advantage of their latest deal. This is definitely a dress that could have gone in my wedding outfit inspirations from yesterday, wouldn't it be perfect for a summer wedding? Just the right pop of color and the perfect amount of skin showing, fabulous all over.

On a different note, it's no secret that I love the song Call Me Maybe and this hilarious parody from Leno with President Obama and Mitt Romney is too funny... you can see the video here. Just in case you aren't familiar with the song, you can check out Call Me Maybe below:

OUTFIT INSPIRATION

Summertime is officially here and that means wedding season is officially upon us.  Both of these outfits would be perfect for any summer wedding, and especially if it's down in Texas with that extreme heat, you want to make sure and dress accordingly.  I am loving these nude sandals right now, wouldn't they go with just about everything possible? And the clutches are a true steal, check them out over on Asos.

SHOPS AT TARGET. A CLOSER LOOK..

I mentioned yesterday in my post about favorite things in May the launch of Shops at Target, and had to share with ya'll a few more details of this pretty incredible designer collaboration.  The Shops at Target officially launch this Sunday, May 6th and can be found both online and in Target stores throughout the nation.  Luckily, I just happen to be heading to Texas this weekend, and will be able to stop by our local Target in Waco to check out the goods, because if I was here in New York, a trip to Target while doable is not exactly a quick in and out experience to say the least.

For their latest venture, Target has taken designer collaborations to the next level with the launch of a new concept partnering directly with local boutiques and specialty stores nationwide to offer Target customers affordable, limited edition collections.  Basically, every two to four months, Target will bring in a few different "shop-in-shops" with the first round of high-end stores including, The Candy Store (um, can we say excited?!), Polka Dog Bakery, Privet Home, Cos Bar Cosmetics, and The Webster (a high-end Miami boutique).

Polka Dog Bakery, based in Boston, is one of the five shops included in the first Shops at Target.  Dogs throughout the country can get a bite of their own of the Boston favorite,  Polka Dog Bakery.  You can stock up on all of the bones, biscuits, colorful bowls, and collars your four-legged friend could possibly desire and for half the price too!  Check out this video for more about this collaboration, and see a few of my favorites below.

Cos Bar Cosmetics line for Target is another shop I am looking forward to checking out this weekend.  This budget friendly collection for Target includes body care products, bath accessories, beauty and manicure tools, and cosmetic bags in a signature bright leopard print.  Prices for this collection is priced from $1 with nothing over $20.
Let me know if ya'll check out your local Target stores or go online to shop these collections this weekend! I am curious to see what ya'll think of the items once they are in stores.

MAY FAVORITES.

Can you believe it is already May? I know I say this every year but where have the past few months gone, it seems as if 2012 was just getting started and here we are almost half way through the year.

Things to love about May....

One. Mother's Day is coming up in less than two weeks, on Sunday, May 13th.  Check back here later this week for a roundup of fabulous gift ideas for Mom.

Two. The Shops at Target officially launches this Sunday, May 6th and you will not be disappointed with Target's newest designer collaborations.  Polka Dog Bakery and Cos Bar are the two I'm most looking forward to checking out this Sunday.

Three. So exciting to tell ya'll about the launch of Etsy Weddings, an entire Etsy site dedicated to all things wedding- from decor to wedding gifts this is your one stop shop for everything wedding related.  Not to mention, the new wedding registry on Etsy Weddings is pretty amazing.

Four. The perfect answer to all of you wondering how to print those Instagram pictures, prinstagr.am. My personal favorite, and one that I will definitely be trying out with my own Instagram pictures, the miniprints, how cute are these mini photo cards? Love them! Also love the minibooks which hold 50 pictures each and for two books only cost $12!

Five. This is just a personal favorite, so had to include it!  I feel like May officially marks the beginning of ice cream season, yes I do believe there is an "official" ice cream season, which begins TODAY.  My personal ice cream favorite is one that I'm not sure I'll be able to get here in New York, Blue Bell Ice Cream's Key Lime Pie, and I promise you it is the most amazing thing you've ever tasted. Delicious!
